School Makes Me Sick: How To Fake Illness

Everyone’s done it — Faked sick in order to get a day off from school, or even work. Ten percent of kids play sick so they can be sent home and a whopping 52 percent of adults have lied about being sick in order to get out of work.

How does one go about faking sick? The old Campbell’s soup in the toilet trick doesn’t work anymore because school nurses have learned to see through it. Instead, fake something like pink eye or diarrhea. Pink eye is highly contagious and can be faked with red lipstick and hair gel while diarrhea is embarrassing enough that admitting to having it makes it much more credible.
